Fama participates in the European FRANCESCA project
Fama is part of the European FRANCESCA project, an initiative aimed at promoting the circular economy in the furniture sector throughout the entire product life cycle.
As part of the project’s kick-off meeting, held over two working days, Fama welcomed the partners of the international consortium to its facilities. The partners came from seven European countries. During the visit, participants had the opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the company’s philosophy, its way of working and its production processes, as well as the main challenges and opportunities linked to circular design, sustainability and new business models in the furniture sector. The programme also included a visit to the facilities of the technological centre CETEM and to another furniture company based in Yecla, Sancal.
The FRANCESCA project (Furniture Renewal and Alternative New Circular Efficiency Strategies through Creative Approaches) aims to develop innovative solutions based on the principles of the circular economy, covering all stages of the furniture life cycle: from design, use and maintenance, to reuse, repair, refurbishment, remanufacturing, redistribution and end-of-life recycling.
Participation in initiatives of this kind reinforces Fama’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, as well as in the collaboration between industry, research and technological development, in order to move towards a more responsible and circular furniture model in Europe.
