Fama receives visit from the Regional Minister for Social Policy as an example of work-life balance and equality
Fama Sofás has received a visit from the Regional Minister for Social Policy, Families and Equality of the Region of Murcia, Conchita Ruiz, accompanied by the Mayor of Yecla, Remedios Lajara, along with other institutional representatives, to learn first-hand about the work-life balance and equality measures implemented within the company.
During the visit, the delegation toured Fama’s nursery school and play area, which currently serves around 90 children and has become a key resource in supporting employees’ work-life balance. These initiatives form part of the equality plan introduced in 2021.
Among the measures implemented, flexible working hours stand out, with up to 99 different schedules adapted to employees’ needs, as well as improvements and adaptations to workstations, which have encouraged the inclusion of women in certain areas. These actions have also contributed to reducing absenteeism to 1.6%, compared to the sector average of 4.11%.
Fama holds the Equality Distinction of the Region of Murcia (DIERM), recognising its commitment to work-life balance, pay equality and the implementation of measures aimed at employee wellbeing.
