Exciting changes in Fama
We are about to celebrate our 50th anniversary, we inaugurate our new facilities and we are also presenting our new website.
50TH ANNIVERSARY
In September it will be 50 years since Fama (initially Tapizados Fama) began its journey with just 3 workers in a small warehouse of 300 m2. Nowadays, Fama has become the largest sofa company in Spain with more than 250 workers, exporting more than 70% of its production, reaching more than 70 countries on the 5 continents. One of the highlights of this celebration will be the Museum that we have prepared. A spectacular space where we have created a timeline that includes the most important milestones in our history confronted with the most relevant historical events that occurred at the same time.
INAUGURATION OF A NEW FACTORY
The inauguration of the new factory will represent a significant leap in terms of automation and sustainability. The new facilities have obtained the highest rating for energy efficiency; they have been designed based on the experience of these years in terms of production and optimisation of processes, to create a pleasant space for workers. It has nothing to do with the construction of normal industrial buildings. Its 4 interior patios open to the outside provide enormous light while protecting from the cold in winter and the heat in summer, its triple water conduction system allows optimisation of all the water used by taking advantage of rainwater harvesting, the ingenious system of home automation windows that open at night to generate ventilation and natural cooling currents, the installation of air conditioning throughout the production plant powered entirely by solar panels, the largest biomass heating installation currently working in the region, in addition to pellets, with our wood waste (crushed). Endless innovations designed to achieve pleasant workstations where we can enjoy the landscape with exceptional temperature conditions.
NEW WEBSITE
And in our aim to continue improving, we present a new website. We could say that almost all customers are very happy with the website, but we also think that we should not wait for things to be outdated to change or improve them. We are convinced that the new website will continue to be just as functional, and with this new design we will have the same advantages as the previous page, but with a more up-to-date, pleasant and intuitive design.
In addition, it includes a section dedicated to the corporate side of the brand, where the history, the philosophy, as well as the different aspects that make us different in terms of CSR or the Environment are reviewed.
