These are the world novelties that Fama will present in the Hábitat Valencia Fair 2022

On the occasion of the Hábitat Valencia Fair 2022, Fama will show its latest advances in R&D that have resulted in unique innovations worldwide.

SENSAE

The first innovation, called Sensae, consists of a new system patented by Fama to activate the reclining mechanisms of relax armchairs without having to touch any buttons. By means of sensors placed on the two sides of the armchair and just by approaching the hand, without touching the arm, the relax mechanism is activated. No more having to search for push buttons on armchairs. The way to use it is simple: bringing the right hand closer to the sensor we will activate the opening of the relax mechanism. And to close it we will use both hands, activating the sensors placed on both arms at the same time.

One of the main advantages of this new system is that it will improve safety at home. We know that this type of mechanisms may cause concern at home when there are small children. For this reason, Sensae has an App developed by Fama that will allow us to block the sensors so that they do not activate the armchair.

Finally, and bearing in mind the progress of home automation within homes, Sensae has a connection with voice assistants to activate the most basic functions of this system.

SEAT HARDNESS REGULATION

Another very important novelty that we are presenting is the "Hardsoft System" that we have included in some of our new models, and that will put an end to the discussions when choosing the seat hardness of a sofa. Some people prefer to have such a soft seat that it seems that you are sitting on clouds, but some others opt for a more hard or intermediate option. With the Fama seat hardness regulation system, each person in the same household will be able to choose their preferred seat hardness on their sofa. Through a manual activation mechanism placed under the seats, users will be able to choose up to five types of hardness, from the very soft to the hardest.

This way we put an end to the discussions that arise when choosing the sofa for a family. In addition, since we are aware that sometimes soft seating sofas are not chosen because there is a concern that the cushions will become loose and deformed, we have created a new construction system that avoids the typical deformations of this type of seat.

EXCHANGEABLE SEAT CORE

Our commitment to the environment and the market demands for more durable sofas has led us to create a new seat construction system with which it will be possible to exchange the seat cushions without having to buy a new sofa. Thanks to this project we have managed, first of all, to design and build a seat cushion that can be very soft and which in turn is practically non-deformable with use. And, secondly, in a simple way we can replace the seat cushion core while the most expensive and complex part of the seat continues to function fully.

What will this innovation allow us? Those who choose to acquire a Fama sofa can replace the core fillings instead of the entire seat when there is the typical wear caused by time and use. This way we multiply the useful life of sofas, which also results in a considerable reduction of waste for the environment. The core, moreover, is 100% recyclable as it is not made from a mixture of different raw materials.
