Fama sponsors a new book about Yecla in the 16th century
The Local Studies Center of Yecla and Northern Murcia, together with the Yecla Golden Age Association, have presented a publication about Yecla during the years 1550-1600, written by local researcher Francisco José Carpena Chinchilla: "Of Gold, Clay, and Lead. Living on the Border: Yecla, a town in the governance of the Marquisate of Villena (1550-1600)." A book that documents and analyses a period in the history of Yecla, but which also prominently features the localities and people of the Vinalopó area, which were the original populations of the territory ruled by the House of Manuel.
