Fama reaches a 99.96% recycling rate and renews its Zero Waste certification
Fama has once again obtained the “Zero Waste” certification following the audit carried out by AENOR, which analyses all the waste generated over a full year of activity.
On this occasion, the waste recovery rate has reached 99.96%, slightly improving on the previous year’s results. This means that virtually all the waste generated in the manufacturing processes is given a second life and does not end up in landfill.
Among the recovered waste are key materials such as textiles, wood, foam and fibre, which are reintroduced into new production cycles. Other waste such as plastics, batteries and scrap metal is also managed for reuse or recycling.
The remaining percentage, 0.04%, corresponds to waste that currently cannot be recovered, such as printing toners, aerosols or contaminated materials, which require specific treatment.
These figures reinforce Fama’s commitment to reducing the environmental impact of its industrial activity. A commitment that not only remains in place but continues to drive the company towards ongoing improvement, with the aim of further reducing this small percentage of waste that cannot yet be given a second life.
