Fama awarded as Company for Equality, and finalist SME of the year in Murcia

Last week the OMEP (Association of women entrepreneurs and professionals of Murcia), organised its traditional awards act where they prized women who have excelled in their professional fields; since 2015 they created the Company for Equality award, to distinguish those entities that develop or favour the implementation of an Equality Plan. In this occasion, the prize came to Fama Sofas, an important recognition that rewards Fama's career in CSR. The act was held at the Nelva Hotel in Murcia and was attended by the president of the Region of Murcia, Fernando López Miras; our colleague Jose Angel Mayor, responsible for HR, was the person in charge of collecting the prize from Rosa Peñalver, president of the Regional Assembly of Murcia.

In addition to this award, Fama Sofas was also a finalist of the “SME of the Year” award of the Region of Murcia 2017. Out of the 14 companies that passed to the final stage, only 3 reached the final, Bodegas Juan Gil as the winner. Fama Sofás and Bemasa Caps were finalists. Marina and Cristina López were in charge of receiving the diploma as finalists. This awards act was convened by the Chamber of Commerce of Murcia and Banco Santander to reward companies that generate regional wealth and job creation through innovation and internationalization.

A few days later, Fama was again finalist in another recognition. In this occasion it was the Enterprise 4.0 awards organized by the newspaper La Opinion, to recognize the transformation into business 4.0. Finally the award went to Mármoles Miñarro de Lorca.
